I’m thrilled to announce my latest track “Never Give it Away”, an electronica track that showcases my trademark sounds. This track is part of the 48th release by Bakroom, a music label that I created in 2013 as a platform for eclectic and innovative electronic music. Bakroom is about to celebrate its 50th release, and I’m grateful for all the artists and fans who have supported us along the way.

This track is inspired by the idea of giving too much in return for very little, and how that can affect our relationships and emotions. With a 3/4 groove, catchy sporadic vocal hooks of “Ah, ah, ah”, and subtle use of atmospheric elements, pads and analogue synthesis, this track is a sonic delight. This version by NY’s ‘You Me’ is a mind-blowing and body-moving masterpiece.

To create this track, I used a Roland 909 drum machine and a 303 Acid Line, coupled with Native Instruments Battery Drum Module, Access Virus TI synth module and a Korg Minilogue xd. These instruments and modules allowed me to create a driving 909 force with a 303 bed of lo-fi acid that changes and syncs with the rhythm, while the arrangement and programming keep the listener hooked. The analogue synthesis adds warmth and depth to the sound, creating a memorable experience.
